DomainWorld Pre-release Announcement

NetBox is pleased to announce DomainWorld.com, an Internet domain name registration and service company. DomainWorld registers domain names and provides primary and secondary DNS hosting and ancillary services for all domain names ending in the suffix .mu.

NetBox Inc. and Internet Inventions, Inc. have formed a joint venture, DomainWorld.com Inc. to provide registration services through an exclusive arrangement with the Top Level Domain administration of the .mu domain.

Since the .mu domain is newly available for public registrations, virtually any name is available. All normal trademark and copyright restrictions apply. NetBox clients may register domain names for the introductory prices listed on the website. Updated NetBox website

We are updating the NetBox website to more accurately reflect the range of services currently being offered. The website redesign and update, long overdue, is intended to make it easier to understand the variety and pricing for NetBox services. The new website does not change any of the functionality of the application or configuration scripts that NetBox users are familiar with. We have tried to incorporate many of the suggestions clients have made into the new site and encourage all users to send any comments to support@netbox.com. The new NetBox website is coming soon.

FAX and Postal Mail output available

Fax and US Postal delivery options are now available to all NetBox clients. These two hard-copy delivery options were originally implemented at the request of our international users, but they augment the communication choices for all NetBox clients. Opening a deposit account for as little as $25.00 accesses the delivery options.

Anti-spam relay software

As most POP option users already know, NetBox has implemented an anti-spam, anti-relay software check that requires users to validate their address by first reading inbound messages in their NetBox POP mailbox before sending outbound messages. The read-first - send-second sequence insures that people sending messages have valid NetBox accounts. Anyone continuing to experience problems is urged to contact support@netbox.com with an email message incorporating as much detail as possible, including any test message results and error messages.

Did You Know?

> Did you know that NetBox supports PGP and other encryption standards? You and your correspondents may exchange private encrypted messages using NetBox communication services.

> Did you know there is no intrinsic limit on the size of email messages? The company or ISP providing the email service imposes message size limits, not by the basic requirements of the Internet. NetBox Inc. does not impose any maximum message size BUT; for practical purposes; messages should not exceed about 2-3MB (two to three million characters) before Internet packet routing delay problems are encountered. Users requiring the regular communication of messages exceeding 2-3MB in size are encouraged to contact support@netbox.com for details on establishing an ftp site for secure transfers of large files.

Some of you have asked, ' How is it going? [It is going fine.] Are you going to stay in business? [Yes, absolutely we are going to stay in business.] Are you making any money? Will you get bought out? [No. We have rejected offers.] How do I know that NetBox will continue to provide service five years from now or five years from now at the current level? [On the most cosmic level, of course, there are no guarantees for anything. All we can say is our primary goal is to do exactly what we are doing. NetBox Inc. is self-sustaining and profitable. All revenue is from user fees. We do not, will not, and have never accepted any advertising, nor have we ever sold, traded or transferred any user data, either specific or demographic, to any other party.
